Rainbow 6 "Vegas" NOW available for pc.
Rainbow Six is highly unique - while it is played from a first-person perspective, and your character does have a gun, it is not exactly what would be classified as a "first-person shooter." What's Rainbow Six's hook? Strategy.
Control is tight, intuitive, and accurate. The default configuration is impeccable, and each option is both well placed and easily memorable - qualities that were sorely lacking in the PlayStation version. While just about every button has a function, it is not in the least confusing, and immersion is instant.
The graphics certainly do the job - realism is the order of the day, and Saffire went for just that. If you're looking for anything fanciful or artistic, look elsewhere. This is a military simulation, and it emulates the real world.
Your enjoyment of this game is probably contingent on your enthusiasm for military situations - this game does deliver a military simulation on a very personal level.

World of Warcraft "Burning Crusade", the recent release has never been better, and while you don't need the expansion pack to continue playing, it's hard not to feel like you're missing out in Azeroth without it.
Perhaps the most significant additions introduced in The Burning Crusade are the blood elves and the draenei--two new playable races that have made the paladin class available to the Horde faction and the shaman class available to the Alliance faction for the first time. Both of these races have quite fascinating backstories that are revealed both through their respective intro movies and via in-game quests and conversations with non-player characters. Like the eight previously existing playable races in Azeroth, the blood elves and the draenei begin their adventures in specially designed starter areas where you can play without having to worry about bothersome high-level opposing players for the first 15 to 20 levels of your character's existence. Thereafter, the new races join the rest on one of Azeroth's two continents, where there are more than enough quest-filled environments and dungeons to keep you busy to level 60 and beyond.
All of the existing professions such as leatherworking, alchemy, cooking, and enchanting can now be pursued to a maximum skill level of 375, which is also true of the new jewelcrafting profession.
This is a superb example of exactly what an expansion pack for any game should be, though, and the gulf between World of Warcraft and the pretenders to its throne is now wider than ever.

Gears of War NOW available for xbox.
Gears of War is an outstanding technical achievement, but in addition to looking and sounding amazing, it's a seriously awesome action game.
The Good: Stellar graphics reset the bar for what consoles can do visually; great soundtrack and killer sound effects; satisfying gameplay in single-player mode; very addictive online play; best use of a chainsaw in any game, ever.
The Bad: Story could have been a bit more fleshed out; difficulty could have used some slight tuning.

Perfect Dark Zero NOW available for xbox. This awesome, high-tech first-person shooter champions the Xbox 360 with its excellent assortment of single- and multiplayer game types, as well as its incredible good looks and dynamic, intense action.
The Good: Awesome presentation, featuring cutting-edge graphics and sound; delicious assortment of high-powered near-future weapons; excellent cooperative mission mode lets you play split screen or online; lots of multiplayer options, including some clever twists on familiar themes; one of the best original soundtracks this year.
The Bad: Characters can look ugly up close, plus some other minor graphical glitches; some missions are frustrating, especially since you can't save midmission; pretty weak storyline is incidental to all the action.

What SmackDown! vs. RAW 2007 improves isn't necessarily what the series actually needed to improve, but on its own merits, it's still a great wrestling game.
The Good: Tons of modes and content, including a lengthy season mode and online play; new grappling system takes some learning, but ultimately works well; excellent looking wrestler models; a solid amount of voice-over from the wwe superstars; new environmental hot-spots are a hoot.
The Bad: GM mode is still rather limited and kind of dull; long time artificial intelligence, clipping, and collision detection issues remain; commentary is weak; roster is fairly out of date

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition makes shooting giant bugs every bit as fun as it should be, and even though it ends too quickly, you'll have a blast while it lasts.
The Good: Massive bosses and thick swarms of enemies keep the action intense; large, varied stages; great-looking environments, effects, and creatures that don't cripple the frame rate; addictive multiplayer will keep you playing after you've finished the single-player game.
The Bad: The single-player game can easily be finished in seven or eight hours; scatterbrained story doesn't make much sense.
